FAQ
Common questions about hypetrain.lol — how the public leaderboard works, what a rank costs, and what you can list. The rules and terms are the source of truth if anything here conflicts.
What is hypetrain.lol?
hypetrain.lol is a public product leaderboard where rank is what you pay. There are no ads, no API keys, and no revenue share. You list a product website or an X profile, pay a rank amount, and sit above everyone who paid less.
How much does it cost to rank?
New listings are whole US dollars, $10 minimum, $1 at a time. Taking first place costs at least $5 more than the current #1. If you are already on the board, checkout only charges the difference when you raise your rank.
How do I pay?
In USDG on Robinhood Chain, from a browser wallet — MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Rabby. One USDG is one dollar, so the number you see is the number you send.
It takes two confirmations rather than one, because a bid is not a transfer: first you approve the board contract to move that amount, then you call it. The contract takes the payment and records the rank in the same transaction.
Why only one chain?
There used to be a second rail, USDC on Base. It is gone. The board contract lives on Robinhood Chain and cannot witness a payment made anywhere else, so those bids had to be vouched for by us before they counted — which is exactly the kind of trusted middleman this whole arrangement exists to remove. One chain, one token, one set of numbers anybody can verify for themselves.
What if I send the wrong token or the wrong network?
It cannot be credited or recovered. Send only USDG on Robinhood Chain. This is the nature of on-chain transfers, not a policy we can waive.
Are payments refundable?
No. All payments are final. Being outranked later, a drop off the Today board after 24 hours, fewer clicks than you hoped for, or a later removal for breaking the rules does not create a refund. Settled on-chain transfers cannot be reversed.
What is the difference between the All-time, Today, and Daily boards?
One payment ranks you on every board that includes that spend. All-time is everything you have ever paid for that listing and does not expire. Today is a rolling 24 hours — each payment counts from the moment it confirms, then drops off a day later. Daily is a UTC calendar day, midnight to midnight. Past Daily boards freeze as an archive.
Can I raise my rank after I already paid?
Yes. Enter the same URL or @handle again. The new amount must be at least $1 above your current rank, and checkout only charges the difference. Someone else cannot take your rank by paying only that difference — they have to clear your full total.
Can I list a token?
Yes — paste the contract address of a token on Robinhood Chain and it gets a rank like anything else. Its name, ticker and logo are read once when the rank is claimed. A DexScreener or GeckoTerminal link for the same token resolves to the same listing, so it cannot hold two ranks. A token too new to be indexed anywhere can still be listed — its name and ticker come straight off the contract.
What can I list?
A product website, an X @handle, or a Robinhood Chain token address. For websites and profiles you must own them or be authorized to represent them. Chat and invite links are not allowed — Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Signal and similar. Sexual content, NSFW and adult platforms are not allowed. Query parameters are stripped, so affiliate and tracking URLs will not work. Link shorteners are not allowed. Full detail is in the rules.
What happens if someone else pays while I am checking out?
Rank is assigned when your payment confirms, at whatever position that amount then supports. If someone else paid more while you were in checkout, you still land on the board — just not necessarily at the rank you aimed for.
Do rankings expire?
All-time ranks do not expire. Today ranks drop off 24 hours after each payment. Daily ranks close at the end of that UTC calendar day and then stay frozen in the archive.
How is this different from Product Hunt or a launch directory?
This is not a launch vote. There is no upvote, no hunter, and no review queue. Rank is only what you pay. The board is public, rankings stay visible, and one payment counts across the All-time, Today and Daily windows.
Can I choose which board I appear on?
No, and there is nothing to choose. A listing is a Token, a x.com profile or a Project, and which one follows from what you pasted. There used to be a dropdown of categories at checkout; it asked a question that already had an answer, and let two identical things end up filed in different places.
